What Two Colors Make Grullo/Grulla?

Post by Regalis »

I've been wondering- what color would 2 horses have to be to have a Grulla/Grullo foal? Or simply, what 2 colors make Grullo?
Buckskin + Some sort of graying color?
Dun + a cream?
Palomino + Black?
Obviously, Grullo + Grullo (or Grulla), but I can't find a good grullo mare for my stallion.

The dun gene on a black base makes a grullo.

Quoting just in case you didn't see the earlier answer.

Grullo/Grulla is another name for black dun, so simply a black horse with the dun gene. The word itself is spanish, so grullo would refer to a male and grulla to a female.
