I'd guess Grey on Sable Champagne. Also, it has dun.

Thank you for breeding to Lunar Daybreak, who is Classic Champagne. Red Coal is a nice mare; certainly she is Brown Dun -- and also Roan -- her head and legs are darker than her neck and body.skybluepainter wrote:http://horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/622358
Many horses start out with a reddish foal coat and then shed out to black or dilute black ("blue"), including Champagne or Grulla.
Right now Red Dawn looks most like his sire's Classic Champagne, with just a hint of his dam's Brown Dun Roan. I'd call him just Classic Champagne unless his face and legs darken more over time ... and then there's also the chance he has Gray. That may just be starting to show on his face.
