Buying Mares with High Genetic Potential

Post by Geidim O'in »

Hello, I'm working on a little breeding project to see if I can breed a horse with 100k genetic potential.

Image This boy is my highest, personally bred horse so far at 66.3k. Which means I'm looking for horses that are 65k+

Age: I prefer younger than 10 years, but any mare with GP higher than 70k is fine

Breed, inbreeding, coloring: Doesn't matter, just gotta have those stats.

Also, any breeding tips for GP will be appreciated.

There’s a couple ways you could increase your herds genetic potential. The two most common ways are to use studs and cross breeding. Using studs can only get you so far but it’s a good start. Also if there are more developed breeds then you can use their genetic potential before breeding back to full Arabian. Having good mares is an important part though, so you’re on the right track! :D
