The Horses of Loomis Acres.

Post by Knitting »

Welcome to Loomis Acres and the Loomis Acres Showroom.

Knitting and Weaving own Loomis Acres and the Showroom where we strive to breed, produce and compete only the finest quality horses, with particular emphasis on the Belgian breed. Our horses are amongst the stockiest and strongest on the game, bred primarily for their unparalleled Log Pulling ability. In recent times our horses have diversified into Marathon Driving, Driven Dressage, Obstacle Driving and most recently Hunter and Dressage, all with great success. Hall of Fame

These horses will always hold a special place in our heart, for their achievements in breeding, competing and their ability to help us better understand the game.

Tumno Bik

Our first ever horse, now a Master Champion in both Log Pulling and Marathon Driving, as well as a Record Holder. He far surpassed all expectations and has a dear place in our hearts.

Tyulen

Our first Master Grand Champion, bred and trained very early on in our showing career.

Tumna Tsar

Our first Master Grand Champion Stallion

Maslo

Our first horse to break Knightshade's incredible level 10 Log Pulling Record.

Kifla

Our first horse boasting a green comment in strength in the Breeder's Report.

Chervena Ruka

A previous Log Pull level 10 world record holder.

Kruv I Maslo

A previous Log Pull level 10 world record holder.

Chernata Daliya

A previous Log Pull level 10 world record holder, also our first horse to reach the Supreme Champion title.

Nagrada

A previous Log Pull level 10 world record holder.

Croissant II

The current Log Pull level 10 record holder, with an extra special commendation because he's not purely from our Belgian lines and hold an unbeaten show record...except that one time Nagrada got him... Is now our first horse to achieve the Supreme Master Grand Champion title.

Introducing this little girl who I believe to be the first Trait du Nord on the game thus far. She is named after the late great Rosa Bonheur, a French artist who is perhaps best known for her painting entitled 'The Horse Fair'. It seemed only fitting that a French breed should receive a truly great French name.
Bonheur

She will form the beginnings of a new venture into this breed.

Nagrada

Just broken Chernata Daliyah's world record for Log Pulling with a staggering 59.08 feet, it would be fantastic to achieve 60 feet with one of our Belgians.

Just bred the first Auxois on the game and have decided to give the Belgians a rest, whilst I focus on getting true to breed examples of all of the nine French draught horse breeds.
So here's my little Beignet (all my Auxois are named after French Patisserie, of course!), who will begin my line of true to life Auxois horses, of a heavy breed with predominantly bay and bay roan colouring.

I'm currently breeding Percherons also, which I hope to be largely grey. I'm just embarking on some Comtois horses, which for the time being I am happy to be bay or chestnut, but will eventually be mostly flaxen chestnut.
Next on the list are Ardennais and Boulonnais. Always on the lookout for horses to breed/buy!

Total gloat, I am in love with this little bull of a horse at the moment, his conformation is hilariously bulky and his little snubby face is to die for! Hopefully he'll pass down a few of those genes to my Traits.

Got a new favourite boy at the moment, introducing...
Croissant II

He's 21 from 21 at the time of posting and I hope his unbeaten record shall continue!
