Opalite Ranch - Diluted Akhal Tekes

Post by hex4kit »

OPALITE RANCH

No prefix nor suffix at the moment
( Most names are just spice-inspired. )

Goals:
Overall, good Akhal-Tekes with dilutions.
Right now, the perfect horse is considered to be PEPPERMINT.
There are 5 levels to the coats of the horses, from 1 (not wanted) to 5 (praised)
1. Blankets, spots, etc. without dilutions.
2. Blankets, spots, etc. with dilutions.
3. Solid colours without dilutions.
4. Solid colours with dilutions.
5. Metallic, solid colours with dilutions.

Tiger eyes are sought after.
Head should be short to medium and dished, with small to medium ears.
Horses taller than breed standards are not frowned upon, but horses that are shorter aren't wanted.
A dun, tiger-eyed metallic Akhal-Teke would be highly praised.

A horse with harmonious looks but some flaws would rate higher than one with an extremely dished head, for exemple.

1. Better quality NAB, keeping special coats.
2. Breed my Marwari x NAB back to purity.

1. Buy an Akhal-Teke mare & start breeding
2. If 3: Figure out what to do with my NAB.
3. Get 500 PT to get Premium Membership
4. Get an "ideal" type of horse.
5. Add deeper ribcages to the bloodline.
6. Try to stay as close as possible to the perfect looks.

7. Get a puredbred mohawk-mane akhal-teke.

Updates:05/09/2019: Announcing my first 80% Akhal Teke with a Mohawk Mane.

07/01/2016: BIRTH OF MY FIRST HOMOZYGOUS MOHAWK MANE HALF AKHAL-TEKE! (it's a long sentence) And it's a filly!
This is not over, it's only the beginning of a loooong work. Behold: Alpha!

27/12/2016: It's my game birthday! Been playing for a month now!
A big post of all the horses that I like a lot will be posted in a reply page 6 !

So my "adding-Bitapetrone's-herd-blood-into-my-herd" turned into a mohawk mane project! I'm currently breeding mohawk-gene carrying horses to get Akhal-Tekes with upward manes ! Sadly, I'm mostly getting colts out of this at the moment. Here are some of the first horses:

07/12/2016: I've been adding blood for Bitapetrone's line in order to get the striped metallic dun look on my Akhal-Tekes! No crosses have been made yet with the first horses, though, it's just the start.

New favourites fillies! Galangal and Sorrel (especially her) are sure to bring a lot of foals in the next turns.

05/12/2016: New foals! They don't have the best stats but I'm creating new blood for the line. I'm also trying to avoid the long ears but they're at every corner in the good stallions at stud!

03/12/2016: Kala Namak was born! One of my favourite horses yet. Thanks to Golden Lotus Stables.

30/11/2016: I have given up NAB breeding and bred my ideal stallion already! Only thing that lacks is the metallic shine. But basically, he's perfect. Need to add deeper ribcages to the bloodline.

29/11/2016: I have now bought an Akhal-Teke mare, a stallion and two arabian mares to create first gen Akhal-Tekes! I'm starting the breeding.
That means that now I'll probably try to keep my NAB herd as small as possible.

27/11/2016: At the moment, I'm kind of regretting getting NAB as my primary breed, even though I was very lucky to find a brown cream mare (? still hard to indentify for me) at the adoption center as my first horse.
I kind of want to go towards Akhal Tekes or maybe just try to breed quality horses with unusual coats. I was thinking lately of just breeding to create light, long-legged tall horses but I feel like going off-breed might not be the best thing to do if I want to change later or to breed towards pure again.

26/11/2016: Joined the game!

Hello! I see you like light horses. Look at this one, if you like him, I will give him to you for free. He's not too good for me, I breed more heavy horses.

1$ :D
Are you ready to get him now? I mean you need to do it fast, it's not safe to leave cheap good horse on sales for too long.

Actually, get 500 PT is easy if you're playing every day. I got 1078 and going to get 2000.
