Pseudo-Silver Plume Expression
Post by Color Guide »
I just wanted to share these lovelies with everyone. I've been working with intense plume for a little bit and got a truly lovely expression. I'm currently working on solidifying the gene's presence in my lines, but currently it is displayed by two lovely ladies.
Here the girls are as foals:
And here is the first girl as an adult: (The second is still a baby.)
The resemblance to silver decreases with age but I am so happy with how intense it has remained on the first girl.
The sire of the two girls:
And their dam:
The dam had plume, but it was much more subdued. And the sire had very intense flaxen, but as he was red-based it is difficult to tell how much plume he had. Whatever the case, this particular combination led to a stunning plume expression in their offspring.

Aaah! That's gorgeous! I originally got him because I wanted to emulate some really beautiful pale foals I was getting from another pair, and then was disappointed when his markings (that are hopefully glitches) came in. So, I'm glad you got a ghosty one from him!Color Guide wrote:Check out this foal from your glitch boy
Also I'm also working heavily with the plume gene, so if you'd ever like me to put up any of my plume boys for stud (or if you want any of the ones I keep selling off), let me know anytime. Very happy to see this gene being played with.
