Cypress Endurance Relay: OPEN

[Cypress Creek Elites]

Hi everyone! It's been a bit since I last attempted to host a competition, but here goes.

The Idea:
This will be a 4-horse relay. There will be 4 endurance competitions set up. Each team member will submit 1 horse to their leg of the race. Each participant may run 2 horses, either on the same team or separate teams- THIS INCLUDES SIDE ACCOUNTS.

Team placings will be calculated SOLELY based on time, and not on the condition subset of endurance scores. However, the worst 20% of teams (condition wise) will receive a small penalty.

The Timeline:
I may push this out if I don't have enough entries. At the very least I need 5 teams to run- this means a minimum of 10 player signups.

As of posting this, the signup deadline will be Feb 1. After this, all signed-up players will be pinged when the comps are set up- I will attempt to get this done by Feb 8.

The Prizes:
Of course, there will be prizes awarded to the top performing teams, on top of earnings from the races.

First place will get $10 million, split between team members. They will also get a silly little trophy.
Second place will get $5 million, split between team members.
Third place will get $2 million, split between team members.

The slowest team will get $100K per player, and a silly little badge.
The team with the least condition penalties will get $250K per player, and a silly little badge.
The team with the most consistent speed will get $175K per player, and a silly little badge.

Jan 3rd, 2024... first attempt at organizing those already signed up into teams. No teams completed as of yet.

FAQ:
1] are you randomly pairing up 2 players as a team identified with the same color that you choose? Making a team of 4 horses/2 players, or is a team only the same player but can be horses from 2 different acct.?
A: ideally, I will have 4 unique players on each team. If it's more convenient to place both of one player's horses on one team, or I don't have enough entries to reasonably split up the horses, I may put both of one player's horses on the same team. maximum 2 horses entered per person.

2] do both horses have to be kept on the same acct.? meaning only one horse per player can enter in each of the 4 comps?
A: each horse is only eligible for one comp, because it's a relay- the other legs of the race will be taken by other horses. the horses may be kept on any accounts the player running them owns, either together or separately.

I would love to enter your contest!
But I may be a little dense, because I need a little clarification. I understand each team is identified by one color and each player puts up just 2 horses. I assume you, Cypress, will choose one of the 3 colors we list and apply to each team.
Please clarify what consists of a team.
1] are you randomly pairing up 2 players as a team identified with the same color that you choose? Making a team of 4 horses/2 players
or
2] is a team only the same player but can be horses from 2 different acct.? so 2 horses owned by the same player can enter the same comp for a team of 2
Or
3] do both horses have to be kept on the same acct.? meaning only one horse per player can enter in each of the 4 comps?
