Please help me with my horses colours!

Post by cheesycorgi »

Hello! I have two horses that I have absolutely no idea what colour they are.

Firstly there's this mare: https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3104201

And then this mare: https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/4039734

I also have a question regarding genetics, is it possible to use a genetic generator and would it be accurate?

Thank you in advance for the help! :-)

Love Grows appears to be a silver buckskin roan. With snowflakes. It's possible that she is not a silver, because Lp will also turn manes and tails this same color, but there appears to be silver in her pedigree with a little lightweight investigation.

Lp (which is causing those snowflakes) is the Leopard Complex gene and will cause this unique body coloration to progress throughout their life.

Firefly is a smoky silver dapple. This is a black coat, with one cream gene, paired with the silver gene. When silver and black are paired together, they can dapple the coat (but it doesn't always happen).

And yes, you should be able to use a genetic generator accurately. The genes the game uses are pulled from real life studies and known facts. Foal coloration will not pop out unnaturally, for instance, you will not be able to make a black foal from two chestnut horses.
