So, we are finally having a new club contest to get the club active again, and what better way to start by having a team contest!! Each person who would like to participate will be assigned randomly to a team and that person will be responsible for competing one of their horses in the posted competitions.

Also, shoutout to Lemoncypress for helping come up with this idea!!

$5 million
One free training by me
A free studding to a stallion of their choice
A CBA registered horse of their choice

2nd place team: Each teammate gets...
$1 million
A CBA registered horse

All other members who participate can claim 100k after the competition if they were not apart of the 1st or 2nd place team!

The contest

First, fill out the form to enter the contest. After the entries deadline (which is yet to be decided), you will be given your teams and your discipline(s). Each team will consist of 3-4 members (depending on how many people we have sign up) and everyone will enter at least one of the competitions. Each teammate will be assigned at least one discipline, and if there happens to be a team of three, one person from that team will represent their team for two of the disciplines. In this scenario, the person with two disciplines will be chosen depending on their teammates chosen disciplines, their membership type, and/or how long they have been in the club.

I will be posting the competitions shortly after the teams are announced. These will be L10 competitions for each of the four disciplines listed above. Each teammate is responsible for entering their horse in the respected discipline they were assigned to. If another person outside this competition or a teammate who was not assigned to the discipline enters the competition, they will not be counted. Because of this, the actual HWO placings likely will not correlate with the placings that earn points.

Earning points

You earn points for your team based on how well your horse does in competition. However, you can also earn "bonus points" for your team outside of the competitions. The points system hasn't been completely finished yet because it will depend on how many teams we have, but here is a general outline:

1st place: 20 points
2nd place: 15 points
3rd place: 10 points
4th place: 6 points
5th place: 3 points

Bonus points:

Tack on horse: 2 points
Costume on horse: 3 points
Horse is CBA registered: 5 points
Horse score/time: 1-5 points

Bonus points explained:

If the horse has tack respective to the discipline, you can earn two bonus for your team. If the horse is tacked but the tack is not respective to the assigned discipline, you can earn one bonus point (for example, if the horse is competing in barrel racing but wearing an english saddle)

If the horse is wearing a costume, you can earn three bonus points. This can be an actual costume, like the zebra skin, the special christmas/halloween costumes if you have them, or it can even just be the new special valentine's day quarter marks. You can get as creative as you want with this!!

If your horse is CBA registered, you automatically get 5 points as long as you enter the horse in the competition. However, you do have to specify the horse's registration number in the entry form to prove your horse's registration.

Lastly, the time or score your horse gets in the competition can earn you bonus points. This only counts your horse's score in the one competition you enter it in for your team, however, your placing gives you more points than the score. Your horse will only get a bonus point based on it's time/score if it the time/score proves to be exceptional (the bonus points for each discipline were calculated based on range of the discipline and current record times). So, some horses may not even get the bonus point for scoring. Here is a general outline of how it will work:

Barrel Racing
21.20 or lower: 5 points
21.21 - 21.70: 4 points
21.71 - 22.20: 3 points
22.21 - 22.70: 2 points
22.71 - 23.20: 1 point

Dressage
51 or higher: 5 points
49 - 50.99: 4 points
47- 48.99: 3 points
46 - 46.99: 2 points
44 - 45.99: 1 point

Endurance
19.20 or lower: 5 points
19.21 - 19.70: 4 points
19.71- : 20.20: 3points
20.21 - 20.70: 2 points
20.71 - 21.50: 1 point

Racing
1:58.00 or lower: 5 points
1:58.01 - 1:58.90: 4 points
1:58.91 - 1:59.50: 2 points
1:59.51 - 2:00.00 2 points
2:00.01 - 2:01.00: 1 point


All points are shared by team members, so you will always have the same number of points as your teammates!
