I don't recall, probably not in a day haha! When I train my stallions they reach a good level when they're at least 7, and that's when I start training them from birth.
But my method helps saving money soooo I probably keep on working that way

Well 7 years :)

I save most of my good stallions on my side account, but that means there's a lot of them over time since it's frozen! Peppermint, one of the best studs I had when I began breeding, is saved there, as well as Darjeeling, one of my best producing stallions.
Darjeeling is starting to be useless, as he's prducing very good offsprings that are slowly reaching breeding age!

I probably won't retire him just now, as his conformation is really good and I can still bring some of his blood in. But a lot of horses from that account are retired, except a handful.
If you want breedings from Darjeeling, I can put him up for stud for you though!

I feel so bad because everytime you show me foals they're usually great but they don't fit my conformation standards
