I agree with the chestnut, pangare, and sooty, but am on the fence about the dun. She doesn't have any leg barring, or the light spots on her ankles, and the "dorsal stripe" could easily be from her sooty. I'm not good at detecting the faint body masks so I'll defer to your expertise there, but apart from base shade she doesn't scream "dun" to me. :?

Whatever the case, I'll be breeding her to non-duns so if dun does pop up I'll know where it's from.

(Also, I almost didn't want to let that filly go. She's just so darn pretty right now! Oh, and I would say she got cream instead of pearl from her dad because of the shade her bronzing is giving her.)
Recorded her color as smoky cream. :D Thank you for making the decision for me. ;)

I'd definitely say dun. The lighter pangare legs and the all-over sooty combination is hiding a bit of the dun on the ankles. But that's too dark of a dorsal for me to say 'could be from sooty'.

Plus, she has the distinctive neck mark that's from dun. The huge scoop of darker red that's not diluted from dun. The gallery image of her neck shows it decently well, just there, in front of her shoulder. It's an area that we tend to forget when it looks like it does on her. But it would be much more even if dun wasn't in play.

But I certainly can see overlooking that. I've been fooled before. 8-)

What do you think of this one? Dun? No dun? Sire has dun on both sides, dam has none. But dam is also a Forest x Belgian and the Forests at least have liked to throw very cryptic for me in the past.

:D Interesting!
Very first response was definitely dun. But I think that's just all pangare. Very pretty outcome. :P So, no dun on that one, in my opinion.

Four of the horses are now complete (fully trained & comp'ed to champion).

I can either wait until they're all completed or I can start sending them over to you, whichever you prefer.

Funny. I saw you online still and my message was still sitting in my 'sending' box for almost 20 minutes.

I suppose it's one of those things where suddenly we get a notification from a reply in a topic that's... literally... years old. I've had a small handful of them.

...What the...??? That replies just So Old! Notification-choke.

It's because I'd gone to dinner and hadn't opened it yet. ;)
