Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.

I only have two right now. I roll turns very rapidly so my horses age out fast(I don't think it's fair to have more than one account so I don't keep champs or studs in stasis on another account- BTW if you have more than one account, please don't think I'm ragging on you. It's just my own personal way to play, that's all).
So here's my two perch, hopefully more to come. I'm going for ACD since I had one growing up(my own childhood horse was a drum horse, which I think is called a 'gypsy cob' now a days. But we also had a cream draught who was a beautiful guy), so I need a few Perch around for that.
*I just have to say I'm visually impaired, so colour for me is mainly guess work. I'm happy to take suggestions on better colour names
Steady One
http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/45267
Seal brown mare
You can see her comp history on her page
Last Dawn
http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/97622
Red roan (pangare) colt
Not competing yet
BTW, not a perch,b ut is this a grey horse?

If that's what we're breeding for then that helps me get a guideline colour-wise since I can't really see it. Thanks!!

Just for interests sake, Drum horses didn't really exist up until about 10 years ago, oh horses of course carried drums in parades, but they were mixed clydey types mostly, not a breed. These days Drum horses are a mixture of Gypsy/Shire/Clydesdale to breed something of the type used to carry the drums. So not a gypsy cob anyway

I wonder if she was just a mix of ACD(since she came in a group with an ACD) and something with pinto colouring? She was a palomino pinto, feathered, with 'castled' mane. She came from a very abusive situation through government seizure(along with her sister who didn't make it unfortunately) so I had no idea on her official pedigree.
Okay, so I rehomed that guy. Do you have a link to the kind of grey we'd like to breed for? That'd be huge help. Thanks!

Just want to say I have Norman Cob with a natural bob-tail if anyone would like to use him to try for bob-tail percherons.

Perch only event:
http://www.horseworldonline.net/competi ... d1c665d6ee
Wasn't sure what to make it eventwise. If the entry fee is to high for some of the newer players I an make a cheaper event as well!

I just started breeding for Percherons now as well, and so far it's going well. My broodmares are currently mixed because I didn't want to breed from scratch with this program - I already have four others where I'm breeding from scratch - but I do have a really nice stallion. At least I think he is nice, can I get an second opinions on him? Maybe even competition ideas? He is doing really well in log pull but I think he is missing something to make a Championship out of it.

I currently have one pregnant Percheron (the mare is by Zephan) and I am hoping to get into breeding Percherons in the near future. Although I am new and still a bit "lost" in the world of horse world, I believe I have figured out the breeding and training side of the game.

I bred this solid black Belgian (80+%)/ deliboz colt and he looks real close to the show Percheron irl.
