Is my horse a black chestnut, or what?

Looking for an opinion from the community.
I hadn't heard of black chestnuts until recently.

Black horses are born a chocolate-like colour. As he ages you'll see him slowly darken. There are examples of extreme sooty chestnut here, and those horses do appear almost black, but they generally aren't born very dark.
