Pretty filly, but unsure what coat color?

Post by Sarah32306 »

I bred this Part Belgian Filly:

{TM} Strawberry Sox

I have no clue what her coloring is, I was hoping you guys could tell me? Also, where in the world did she get it from?? I've been looking in her Pedigree, but none of her ancestors have that base coat color?! :?

Anyway, thanks in advance for the help!

I have no clue what her color is, but she's gorgeous! I love that color, it's so pretty and delicate. Big congrats on her! :)

She's still too young to know for certain. Foals wear foal coats until they blow them as a yearling.

She appears to be a chestnut with leopard.
Both of her parents (appearing black in color) are most likely single black extensions (E/e) rather than double black extensions (E/E) which means they can throw chestnuts if paired with other single blacks (like you have) or with other chestnuts.

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks BlackOak! I might ping you again when she is a yearling.
