Horses that look like they have the silver gene will hopefully have the silver gene. Try buying or breeding to a horse that appears silver.

Thank you Satinka. I don't actually know a lot about horses, but don't tell anyone.

Silver on Black: Usually a chocolatey colored coat with a white/creamy colored mane/tail
Silver on Bay: Black legs are lightened to a darker shade of brown and the mane and tail are white/creamy colored
Silver on Chestnut: You can't see it; It only manifests on black. However a chestnut colored horse can be surreptitiously carrying silver. If you have a chestnut based horse with a lightened mane and tail it's either flaxen or cream being showcased.
Silver Dapple: Horse shows lightened dapples on its coat and a white/creamy colored mane and tail. Sometimes the body is almost nearly all grey excluding the lightened dapples.

Your filly is a palomino. So there's no way to tell if she inherited the silver gene from her sire or not until you breed her and see if she throws a silver foal. Because she's chestnut based the silver gene won't be expressed, her mane and tail are white because of the cream gene she carries.

You'll have to breed her. If she has the silver gene, she will never actually show it. She will have to foal a black or bay silver horse with a non-silver stallion to be sure.
Signature? I don't need no stinkin' signature! Everybody knows who I am already!
