Gold Champagne or Palo+Cham?

Post by DreamOfSpring »

So I looked through the horse color guide and the closest color match I got was palomino for this guy... yet he has the champagne eyes and muzzle?

His sire is listed Silver Classic Champagne out of a Chestnut mare.

I labeled him gold champagne but I think the horse color guide lists gold champagne as a lighter color. ._.

And lastly this gal...

Her sire I think is white (if that is in the game? http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2157)

I matched her with the horse color of Bay +Cream x2 +Champagne by the way she's aging. What would you call that though? Amber Champagne? She also has mottling on the muzzle.

The first horse is definitely gold champagne but with one copy of the tiger eye gene (which in champagne horses makes the eyes slightly green but not as green as if it was two copies).
The other horse is Amber Ivory Champagne (one cream with champagne on bay), possibly Silver Amber Ivory Champagne since the mane and tail looks brighter than the coat.

Thanks Tots! I'm still getting the hang of the dilute variations. :D

I understand that it is difficult sometimes. :) It took me quite some time to figure it out during the beta and some dilutions are very difficult to decide since there could be many genes that are not so obvious (like roan or dun on a double cream champagne, which is already almost white). Sometimes you get a "surprise gene" in the offsprings that you did not know the parents had. ;)

First is Flaxen Gold Champagne.
Third is Silver Smokey Classic Champagne.

Silver Smokey Classic Champagne would be the sire of the amber champagne? Interesting since he's so white.
