Striped Horse Breeding Project

Post by Strawberry Unicorn »

Trying to create a stripped horse. Already bred a mare and stallion:
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2416708 :Mare
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1497104 :Stallion
I thought the stallion had very distinctive markings so I bought a mare with stripey Grulla patterns on her legs.
I'm not sure this will work but the foal is coming soon. I am eager to create a striped horse so this is my first step. This is just a test but I hope it works. :D

Welp, the foal failed: https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2477823
But I'm not hiving up just yet. I am trying to find a horse with the same markings as Stripe. This will be hard but I will pay 1M for a fit. Disappointing but I WILL do it!

I dont't think this is possible, definitely not IRL and probably not even here. The dun gene will cause stripes on the legs, but it won't give you a "zebra horse"

Take 2:
Mare: https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2451740
Stallion: https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1497104
Found a mare with the same markings so let's try this again. Now time to use up my 12 turns.

The dun gene only "strips" the legs, neck, back & flanks. Like:
