Looking for a Specific Stallion for a Mare

Post by MyPonyAndMe »

Hello! I generally don't use the forums on here since I'm more active on other games, but could you guys please help me? I'm looking for stallion to bree to this mare:

She's a darling of mine, but she's getting old, so I'm looking to breed a foal that will look very similar to her, but haven't found a matching stallion yet. Thank you :D

Hello! What breed of horse are you looking for? Or are you looking for a specific color?

I’m looking for the colour. I’m not exactly sure what it is though. I thought she might be a brown roan but she has some extra marking too. Looking at photos from when she was younger, she used to be flat brown.

Actually your mare was/is a silver buckskin with varnish (due to lp) and some sooty.
So; as a stud color-wise you'd best be searching for a Silver Bay:

- A Buckskin (like your mare) is a Bay base with one cream gene; so I'd recommend as a stud to go for a silver bay (higher probability with both parents for silver but no visible changes if they pass on both of theirs) but without cream (as your mare is already carrying that and double cream would look a lot different).

- The other markings of her particular color come from her expression of leopard complex and sooty - so I'd also refrain from using a stud with these 'cause the foal then might get his or an amalgamation of both instead of just hers.
Leopard complex and sooty both are (mostly) dominant genes - so it's a 1:3 (no gene, either of both, both) chance for the foal to get the right one if you use my recommendation.

Might take a few tries to get such a foal but it'd definitly be possible :)

a stud similiar to what I've explained would look like him

though one similiar to him might also be a possible fit if you're willing to wager on the cream distribution

Hope this helped somewhat ^^

P.S.: Those are strictly recommendations in regard for the color though - take a look at the stud market and search for yourself if there aren't better fits or prices ;)
