Hello there, and welcome to HWO! Although I'm not an expert, I'd be glad to help you out.

Earning money on HWO is easy—if you know how. There are many ways, but I’ll just cover a few that a newbie can immediately start doing. Once you earn more money, you can become a specialist in the community—but that’s a topic for a later date.

One of the easiest ways to earn money is through a grinder, a trained horse which excels in a specific discipline. You can ask the community for a free grinder, I'm sure many senior players would love to help you out! Be sure to ask what discipline and level the grinder specializes in, or else the horse can be rendered useless in terms of making money.

Once you have a grinder, enter it in local shows! Scroll down, and right below the three buttons labeled Sell Horse, Breed Horse, and Rehome horse, there should be several tabs. To the right of Info, click the Local Show tab. Enter your grinder in the discipline and level it excels at (try Level 10 for more money).

Each local show takes up 3 hours of your day though, so remember to use a turn once you've taken up all the time you can using local shows.


Another easy way to earn money is by selling horses. Popular breeds can fetch a good 50k for an untrained one, and 100k+ for a trained one! Some popular breeds are: Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Quarter Horses, and Belgians!
See my friend’s guide for her opinion on prices. They’re extremely helpful when pricing horses, to see what sells and what doesn’t.

You can also make a stud ad for your stallion for a bit of extra income. The community in general is in need of good quality studs! To stud a stallion out to the public, go to your stallions profile, then click the middle button labeled Breed Horse.

There should be an option labeled stud, or something similar. Click it, and create your stud ad! Try searching around the market for an acceptable price for said stud.

In my opinion, those are the top 3 ways of earning money for a newbie! Once you earn enough money, you can try taking training courses and becoming a trainer on the side. Acceptable prices at time of writing range between 30-100k. Or, you can try champing other horses, which can easily get you around 50k per horse. If you champ your own, entering in high-purse comps can win you millions with the right horse!
