You needed offer me anything. :D

A little history, first.
I really like this game. And never wanted it to devolve into what so many online games eventually do. So when I started to see it happen, I tried to change that course. Along with the aid of many of the senior members (some of who haven't been seen in years), we were able to affect the community enough to bend toward the base of what we have today. It took quite a bit of fight to do so.
And we were eventually successful.

Now the present. :P
But even though we have the type of community that helps, welcomes and tries to ensure the success of all members, it doesn't maintain itself indefinitely as we have it.
The biggest part of that, is that a great deal (even many or most) of our players come from games that have devolved into total messes. So the learning curve is steep here.
We all need to step in, from time to time, to keep things going in that positive direction.

Okay, history and present complete.

It's great that you want to thank me. What I can return to you, is to pay it forward. Find somebody that's struggling a little and give a little to them (whatever that may be). One of the mainstays that helps the community and creates more of... ehem... 'people like me' :lol: ... is to offer forward what you've gotten from other members.
BUT... only do so, when you're in a position to make those sacrifices. We don't want our community members that aren't yet in that position, to be giving away what they still need. Because eventually, they will be in such a position to do so.
8-)

And... I like emojis too. They fulfill a point that can fall flat in text. Sarcasm, happiness, disbelief... and so on. Have you ever thought about how difficult it is to portray sarcasm without an emoji? And these emojis don't really have a sarcasm great. -_-
Just a sarcasm kind-of. --> :|

By the way, most of those breeders are themselves juggernauts in the breeder's or also competitors worlds, here on HWO.

You can ping me whenever you want. :P

You can do so in a new ping (like you just did), in one of my guides (please try to keep it on topic, but I'm not too picky), or in my farm log.

I really appreciate the gesture though, we all like to be acknowledged once in awhile. 8-)
So, yes we can be friends. And, fyi... I'm an introvert as well. Can you tell? :mrgreen:

Wanted to give a heads up thank you for the history lesson :mrgreen:

I just put my jumbled thoughts together so sorry if this is hard to read.
I'll ofc giveaway the horses to someone who needs it more^^
I am in a decent position too giveaway money but I am in a great position to giveaway horses

I agree like what type of emoji looks like sarcasm? :? :| : / :- | -_-

Questions for you...
How do I make the picture pop up instead of a link
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3749150

If someone takes your horse to train, and the person has not picked it up in a long time is it your right to keep it?

I can't tell as for me It's pretty hard to tell if someone is a introvert through text as I only really get nervous in public and feel more comfort sharing my thoughts and ideas to online people.

So, for images, there are two ways to do so on HWO.

The first way is an HWO specialty and works off of the gallery images of the horse.

This code:

Code: Select all

[horse=3654885][/horse]
Looks like this:

So, take notice of the number:

Code: Select all

[horse=3654885][/horse]
3654885

This is the horse's ID number. It can be found in the url:
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3654885

It's the last part.

Every horse on HWO has a unique ID number. This number counts upwards. Take a look at ID #2 of HWO. This is officially the second horse ever to have existed on HWO. Horse ID #1 was rehomed or otherwise deleted (likely and admin trial).
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2

Sadly, no gallery image saved. -_-

If you have no gallery image saved on a horse, it ends up looking like this:

Code: Select all

[horse=2][/horse]

So if you use the HWO coding special, you'll need a gallery image saved for it to pop up. Also, as a last note, it may take upwards of five minutes or more for a gallery image to load throughout HWO.

Now for option number two.

Code: Select all

[img][/img]
This code can be used pretty much anywhere BBCode is allowed.

You'll want to use a url that has an image command (img, png, gif... etc.), for the horse I own as a sample above:
https://img.horseworldonline.net/galler ... ec5b2c.png

You'll see the url mentions specifically an image command at the end: 'png'

Should you use such a link:

Code: Select all

[img]https://img.horseworldonline.net/gallery/4/5/6/3/3654885/631840dec5b2c.png[/img]
It looks like this:
Image

For most images, to get the right link, you'll want to 'Right Click & Open In A New Tab'. The url posted for that 'image in a new tab' is often the one you want to use. There are exceptions, so you'll generally want to visit the site and right click the image to get the correct url link.

However, for HWO, for the second option, you'll need to use the gallery images, or save an image of your horse and load it onto an image hosting site.

The nice thing about having both options, is that you can show your horse as a foal, as a yearling, as whatever other age you want and also as a continually updated 'most recent' image of your horse. Very handy for Lp progressions. :P

If you're training for the community, either as a public or a private (or somewhere in between) trainer, you should always have a way out for yourself for players that suddenly disappear. Because it happens. Most trainers have a time limit on how long they'll hold a horse for pickup. Some it's 3 days, others it's two weeks.
The best and most straightforward way to handle this, if you don't already have something implemented, is to take a reasonable timeframe for yourself (most consider three days minimum), but don't do something like a month or longer, really, how long are you required to hold a horse? Anyway, take a time limit, create a post and ping the owner of the horse.
Say: 'Your horse [X] is done training and has been awaiting pickup for [X] days' Or 'Since [Month, Day].'
'If your horse isn't picked up in three days from this post' (or one week from this post, but it's always better to name a day number - three days, six days, 12 days, etc). 'The horse will be sold at auction to the highest bidder' Or 'will become mine and will be disposed of at my discretion' that phrase: disposed of at my discretion just means that you'll decide what to do with the horse and not necessarily that you'll rehome the horse.

Make double sure you got the ping correctly, because that is an important part of notification process.

And then, if they don't come to collect, you've done your due diligence and the horse ends with whatever you said you'd do (sale, rehomed, kept, but do what you said you'd do).

And, afterward, make sure you put in that pickup clause. In this way, all the players that hire you to train their horses, will know what will become of their horse should they not pick it up.

Be ready for people to offer to hold the horse long-term. We do have a number of players that willingly hold onto long-term, non-pickups because we all know that life happens. Usually, these are senior players that have permanent freeze accounts and usually they'll step up for players that have been active in the community and have some sort of reputation. But it's not always the case.

As far as my introvert question was, I was attempting to make a point of saying two things, that on HWO my introvert nature doesn't stop me from interacting in a way that's contrary to my nature (other games, I'm essentially a silent player) and second, that I'm not the only one that being online helps them to interact in a better manner with society.

It can be good therapy. 8-)

Oh, the HWO special, is itself a link to the horse. Images using the second option are not themselves links.
