There's no signs of something like cream, that can hide on a black horse (parents don't show any) and he doesn't appear to have dun (dam has dun).
'Appy' as in appaloosa is a breed and not really a color, but people use it synonymous with lp, so it's not really a problem (OCD and stickler people have an issue with it).
