I just wanted your opinion on whether this horse is plume
And this horse? Could plume cause the golden streak in her tail?

It has been a long time.
I could agree that at least he first one is a plume. The sooty does a terrible job of hiding it, but that silvery lining at the ends is suspect for plume, for me.
On the other hand, buckskin naturally has a different coloration to the mane and tails (adds it anyway). So although I want to agree that the second horse also has plume, I can't say that for certain. The golden streak would be caused by the cream gene, rather than plume in my opinion.
The best way to determine plume is with the foal pics before the mane flops (as a reminder) and since neither of these has that... eh... your guess may be as good as mine!
Bouncing between the two of them, there is a coloration difference in the manes of the two. Whether that's from the cream or also the sooty... I don't know. But the saturation of the black color isn't the only difference in that coloration. There is something else going on. Cream could be that culprit, or maybe not.
Don't forget to check it out!
