Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

Falabella
Post by Jasmine_Hanley »
This is all the basic information I currently have on the breed. If you have any more information feel free to ping/quote me and I’ll add it here.
Background Information:
Falabella Horses are one of the smallest horse breeds in the world. They are usually roughly 24-33 inches (6-8 hands about) and are used for competitions such as in- hand jumping. Despite this breeds small size, they are not considered ponies, but miniature horses. The Falabella is one of the only miniature horses to have characteristics derived from their older ancestors.
Beginning in the 1940’s, Falabellas became a registered breed by Julio C. Falabella. An actual Falabella has to have an official Argentinian Breeding Certificate, an FMHA registration, or be DNA tested for horses from the original Argentinian horses.
Falabella Characteristics:
Even though Falabella’s are quite small, they show docility, strength, and the ability to adapt more than any other small horses, and a great deal of their larger relatives. Falabella’s mostly show characteristics of larger horses by their build and proportions. However, they are not limited to one type of build, they can be from stalky draft horses all the way to lean Arabian builds. Falabella Horses live much longer than an “average” horse, the normal age range is 40- 45 years.
Fun fact: Falabella Horses only have 17 sets of vertebrae, instead of 18.
The most common colors are usually black or brown, but can vary. Falabellas are also very intelligent and energetic, they are most commonly used as draft horses and trick horses.
In- Game Breeders:

Though my falabellas are originally planned to look fancy, i do plan on switching to solid colors instead for the final project.
