I am a newbie at horse coloring and dilutions, but I believe he is a blood bay with a flaxen mane and tail. It is highly likely that I am wrong, though. Sorry!

No prob. The closest I can come to is a silver bay.

He's silver bay :)

LP varnish and snowflakes usually appear around age 1, but in this case, I doubt he's inherited the LP that triggers varnish and allows patn1 or patn2 to express. Meaning, he technically could've gotten the patn-genes his sire has - but just not be able to express them since he isn't LP.
