1 mil prize: Breed a Zebra: ends May 1st
Post by Tenacious Equine »
Hello everyone!
I had this idea randomly while in chat, like just now...
Why not try to breed a horse that looks like a zebra (when paired with the zebra stripe costume)?
Since I already have too many projects, I will be having a contest instead of doing it myself.
There is a 1 mil prize, which may raise. I will give this to the player who breeds horses that look most like zebras (in exchange for a pair of foals, so I can have my own zebra army)
General guidelines:
Horses should be at least 45% pony-type, and should be medium-light (corresponding to horses closer to horse-type) to medium-heavy.
Horses should be solid black with no markings.
Horses must have mohawks and should have short tails and long ears.
There are no breed restrictions.
My Assessment of What to Aim For (conformationally) To Get a Zebra-Type Horse (based on staring at a photo for ten minutes, so may not be completely accurate):
-Long straight faces, with thick jowls.
-Long necks, mostly upright shoulders.
-Medium/deep rib cage, medium/deep flank
-Sloping hip angle, long hip
-Medium thick legs, forward stifle
-Long back, level croup

I would love to because I was just about to start a new project and now I have one. I do have to get rid of all of my North African Barbs first though. I am having a huge farm sellout, literally, every horse on my farm is for sale so hopefully, I will be able to soon. If you know anyone that wants grey or blonde North African Barbs with dapples, send them my way, please so I can start on this.Tenacious Equine wrote:Please let me know if you're interested in participating!

Awesome! Can't wait to see what you come up with!Bunbun0412 wrote:...
His conformation is... more than a tad off, but he does have the right color, and the mohawk looks good! You're welcome to enter him, if you choose ^-^FantasyRanch2 wrote:...
You're welcome to participate! Be sure to take a look at the conformational/type guidelines I have outlined to give you a little more of a leg upHeartland2001 wrote:...
